About

Hailing from the Bay Area, classically trained Alternative R&B artist, SHARI (The Coloratura), offers a listening experience like no other.  She calls herself The Coloratura because she studied as a coloratura soprano while earning a Vocal Performance degree from CSU, Stanislaus and incorporates operatic vocals in her music.

After college, the singer understudied and performed the role of the Queen of the Night in the Townsend Opera Player's production of The Magic Flute which features one of the most famously difficult arias as part of her role.  The singer didn't want to pursue a career as an opera singer but she began experimenting with incorporating operatic vocals in her music. Fans say that her voice is reminiscent of Mya.  SHARI combines that sound with Hip Hop beats and Operatic vocals in unique fusion, Hip Hopera.  It's also been called Trap Opera.

From exclusively R&B tracks like "Breaking My Own Heart" with smooth, silky vocals, to soaring opera vocals over Hip Hop beats that highlight her 3 octave soprano range in "Tunnel Vision", SHARI’s voice is a force to be reckoned with.  She writes songs that are personal and relatable.

When she’s not working on her craft, the single mother of one enjoys spending time with her son and teaching private voice lessons.

The self proclaimed Dreamer is dedicated to creating music that gets to the ears of those who need to hear it, and inspiring others to follow their dreams in the process.
